Sweeeeeet... [17 Jun 2005|09:48am]

[27 Apr 2005|04:07pm]

I received in the post this morning "How Soon Is Now?" courtesy of ebay. I am really dissapointed. I loved the original version and also TatU's [so shoot me?? I am gay after all!] but this is pants. If it wasn't H*R I wouldn't have listened to the end of the track. IT is growing on me but all n all I am miffed. Any other thoughts on this E.P? Answers on a postcard please.

Hey! My name is Tor, and I am from Darlington- way up here in the north east. i am a huge HR fan- have every CD/single and a few vinyls too and a lotta posters and badges and stuff.
I saw HR for the first time at Leeds festival a good few years back, and then again 11/11/04. However the best gig I ever saw ever was the Tsunami Disaster Fund Charity gig in the Tumbledown Dick in Farnbrough in February this year. I was stood next to Paul's mom and talking to her. I was crying and so emotional- I was told I looked like one of those old Beatles movies with the fainting and crying lol.
I managed to come away from the gig with a hug from Paul, a guitar string a set list and a tissue that Paul himself got me when I was crying.
I also got the offer of a job in the tumbley over summer, which I am so taking! The tumbley is HR's local, and my best mates gf works behind the bar and is good mates with the band. Therefore I can think of nowhere better to work!
I slept in a room Paul had slept in....!
And...Instead of saying "oh my god!" I say "oh my townsend!"
So now I have fully humiliated myself, I bid thee farewell.

And I'll never falter....now we're even...

hundred reasons on myspace [21 Apr 2005|04:19pm]

yup, they've gone all scenester on our asses and have signed up to myspace.
their profile is here

they have a new song on there too.

Hundred Reasons, Northumbria Uni Stage 2, 11/11/04 [12 Nov 2004|11:36pm]

Let's see...Collapse )

Not exactly brilliant, but I got 13 presentable pictures out of 36. Considering I normally take about 100 digital pictures at gigs and get 13/14, that was a pretty good ratio. Plus it was my first attempt at film photgraphy, with my dad's camera which I'd never used before, and my first photo pass.

It's actually quite scary being in there, because I wasn't sure if crowdsurfers were going to be flying about or not, I had other photographers to move around as well as the security... you've only got the first three songs (probably about 9 minutes as Hundred Reasons songs are fairly short) to capture everything you want in that space of time.

And it was more difficult that I imagined.

This might be a stupid question, forgive me if it is...

But do any of you have an email contact for either the band's management or a general enquiries/webmaster email? I need to ask a question regarding photography on the UK tour... thanks in advance :)

From the Hundred Reasons website (19/6) [18 Jul 2004|10:31am]
The "harmony" video should be appearing on your television screen as of this week.

Meanwhile, prepare yourselves for a rather fantastic HR take on "how soon is now", possibly the best song by the legendary Smiths.

Sorepoint records will be releasing "how soon is now" - the songs of the smiths on 28th June. The full tracklisting includes Million Dead (yay) and lots of other people...

fanzine-a-rama. [11 Jul 2004|10:33pm]

for those who are interested,we've written a couple of issues of our Hundred Reasons fanzine,'Addressed But Not Sent' and you can download issue #2 here

it contains interviews with paul, joe and justin from HIFH,bev from archie and the instincts and very lovely comedian richard herring.
and it's free.

I'm actually mates with Paul, he's a well decent bloke. I met them at Brixton - vip stuff 8-) I'm mates with his bro, that's how I got in then, but now I'm mates with Paul, so it's all good. I sometimes go to the adge with him (a rock club where I live) and my mum took him home once >.< I live near them so they're always in town, shopping and stuff. I see Colin allllll the time, but he's a bit stuck up and big headed. Definitely think Ideas Above Our Station is the better album though.

The band are currently on the European festival circuit, which culminates in a main stage appearance at the Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds at the end of August.

How have I not been aware of this...

Does anyone know what day it is at Reading?

The first five people to join get a cookie.

Now, to abide by my own rules: I prefer Ideas above our station. However, Colin's girlfriend prefer's Shatterproof is not a challenge. This makes me think that she is boring.
